​ One of the most important project that Generation RFID was awarded some years ago, required the development of a complete end-of-line tester to functional validate a body domain controller (BDC) for a Tier 1 automotive electronics manufacturer. The end customer was BMW. The development of the test equipment was a huge challenge due to the complexity of the DUT that was to be manufactured (more than 500 GPIO pins, 3 microcontrollers, multiple LIN, CAN and FlexRay communication buses, Ethernet, App software download, etc...). However, after one year of hard work of a multiskilled team, now the customer is proud to have a customized test solution that is faster, cheaper and simpler than any of the standard solutions in the market, that are based on other older technologies. This fact makes them much more competitive that its competitors.​

​ This project was the seed of what we name Lynx Tester. It is a modular, Ethernet controlled test hardware based on solid-state relay (SSR) and a standard test SW that reflects all our expertise. The outcome features ultrahigh test speed, maximum DUT function coverage and minimum replication cost. Thought it was initially developed to validate high production volume and complex DUT products in the automotive field, its modular design makes it suitable to be adapted to other solutions where cost is a limiting issue. With LynxTester the users can implement low-cost ICT and Functional EOL tests, regardless of the activity sector they are: automotive, industrial, medical, …​

​ As Generation RFID is also an integrator company that supplies turn-key test projects, our engineers realized that a piece of the puzzle was missing. In order to have all test information in a single site, Lynx Trace was launched into the market. This App collects all company test data in a single dashboard. The user can, therefore, compare between testers, manufacturing plants and products in order to take decisions about how to improve current test figures.​
